After four years of loyal service, archistartup.com has served its purpose. We are not a startup any more, and so it is time to move on. Our new blog can be found at help.design where we will continue to provide updates on Baumgart Clark Architects.

So long, Archistartup!

An Historic Bluestone Theatre in Kyneton

September 19, 2014

It's been a busy couple of months, and we are long overdue for a new work update. Baumgart Clark Architects is going from strength to strength, and in keeping up with the work, we have neglected our little blog. Never fear!

Baumgart Clark was recently awarded the renovation and restoration works associated with the 'Bluestone Theatre', a former church in Kyneton, Central Victoria, containing an extraordinary historic pipe organ. The venue is in a certain state of disrepair, and until relatively recently was heavily utilised by local performance groups, who are keen to see rectification works commence.

We have had our first meeting on site to meet the client and stakeholders, and inspect the building, and we look forward to achieving some progress in the near future.

The second recent project secured by the team is the Land Use Planning study of the Yowani Golf Course in North Canberra. Widely considered one of Australia's best inland golf courses, Yowani is seeking to draw value out of their surplus land assets with a development plan that will improve Club facilities while providing for additional programmed space. We look forward to assisting them.

Stay tuned for more updates!

What can you expect in this blog?

In this blog, John and Marcus of Baumgart Clark Architects share their news, information and updates.

We started this blog in July 2013 to provide updates on our emergence as an architecture practice. As an architectural startup we faced many challenges, but we are now well and truly through the startup phase, and on the way to establishing a substantial design stuido.

No one will think this is exciting to look at but the nearing completion of the temporary link building at Sacred Heart Mission is exciting to us! It heralds the imminent commencement of the first major stage.
